A Membership Club founded in 1890, the Beccles Caxton Club is a Family Friendly Members Sports and Social Club. Located in Gaol Lane from where access can be gained on foot, the club is situated next to Tesco’s Car Park which is situated on the old William Clowes Factory site.
The Caxton Club is a members club, and membership can currently be applied for via a Printed form which is available from the club’s Main Bar on request.
The Club has a fantastic bar offering a healthy selection of Wine, Beer, Spirits and soft drinks, with regularly changing Guest Ales, and a range of Ciders. The Club also has a variety of snacks and nibbles on offer to choose from.
There are two adequately sized function rooms located either end of the building, both of which are available for private hire by club members. Our Main Function Room has a small stage area for a DJ or live band, and has its own separate bar to ensure your function is private away from the main bar area, also having its own entrance separate to the main club.
The other function room is kitted out with ample tables and seating, and with our recently installed (2023) “Big Screen” and projector, you can watch Both TNT Sports and SKY Sports events, including some Box Office Events too. TNT Sports and SKY Sports channels are shown live with various sporting events throughout the year.
The Caxton Club is also proud to be able to offer Free Full Fibre Wi-Fi (via BT Business), with “Wi-Fi Anywhere” throughout the club. Live Music most Saturday Nights, Monday Night Bingo, Monthly Charity Quizzes, Subsidised Outings (like Colchester Zoo, Thursford Christmas Show and Panto), a “Supreme Winner” Full Size Pool Table (Pay per game), a Full Size Snooker Table (Hourly Hire Charge) and much more!
As a Sports and Social Club, we are passionate about and proud to support our Sports Sections which currently include a Darts Section, Football Section, Bowls Section and Pool Section. Beccles Caxton Club is a Family Friendly Club which has a large garden area with some climbing activities which supervised children are welcome to use.
Please note that unfortunately, Dogs are not permitted in the Club or its grounds, except for Service Dogs.
